OFDC - A4

Outdoor fiber distribution closure

An ideal solution for FTTH networks, the OFDC-A4 gel sealed closure provides an ideal connection point for distribution & drop cables.

The closure can be used in aerial, pedestal and underground (up to 2 meters) environments.

The closure provides separate compartments for each functional area of pigtail storage, tube breakout, splicing, and patching to drop cables. Individual access is provided to a patching compartment, allowing connection to drop cables without disturbance of fibers stored in other compartments.

Connection to distribution cables is via TE Connectivitys’ Xpres-drop Cable (SC/UPC, SC/APC connector footprints).

The gel seals used for both closure and cables are fully re-useable and make re-entry quick and easy.

Outdoor fiber distribution closure

The gel sealed outdoor distribution closure is used to break out fibers from a looped cable to connect business customers, MDU’s or single living units.

The gel, used for both, closure and cable seals, allows easy access and is fully re-useable.

  • Compact enclosure (163 x 326 x 102 mm)
  • Gel block with spring loading for the cable seal
  • Not required to cut loop-through fiber of the feeding cable
  • Organizer can be removed from closure body
