SCIL-B-48-1-S4-NN
Splice closure in-line
The splice closure in-line is deployed at key splice points in the FTTX distribution and access network. Because the closure is spliced in-line with the feeder cable, it is suitable for many locations – in hand holes below ground, on the side of a building, or hung on a strand between poles.
The small and compact SCIL-A, formerly known as the OFMC, is designed for the last-mile access network and supports 2 feeder fiber cables and 8 customer drop cables.
The SCIL-B, formerly known as the FOSC 350C, is designed for the distribution network and supports up to 144 fiber splices with 4 cable entry ports (up to 6 cables per port).
The SCIL-C, formerly known as the FOSC 350D, is a larger, higher capacity version of the SCIL-B. It is designed for the distribution network and supports up to 288 fiber splices with 6 cable entry ports (up to 6 cables per port).
